Pulperia was the name given to rural general merchandise stores and dining facilities in parts of South America.
It reminds us of home in Argentina and the tradition of getting together around food & games
In addition to offering everything a small rural community might need (food, beverages, candles, charcoal, medicine, cloth), Pulperias were a space for reunion: share news, play board and card games, dice, and sing along.
We don’t quite impose dancing and singing to our guests… but do love to play cards and dice for fun, and just have a good time around the hearth oven
